Spiritual Direction, a spiritual practice that has been part of the Christian tradition since the Desert Fathers and Mothers -- is an on-going relationship with another who companions, guides, affirms and challenges you to growth in the spiritual life. Spiritual Direction is all about listening to the Spirit moving within your life.

If you desire the companionship of a sister to listen and walk with you, you may want to seek the guidance of a spiritual director. Several of the Benedictine Sisters of Florida are trained in the spiritual direction ministry. They offer this service either by personal appointment or through several days of a directed retreat.

During an initial interview with a director you can discern if there is a mutual sense of the potential for open, honest sharing and respect for how God may be calling you.
